FACE-TO-FACE COUNSELLING IN BOURNEMOUTH

A place to talk, in person

Sometimes being in the same room can feel like the right way to begin counselling.

I offer face-to-face counselling in Bournemouth for adults and young people, in 50-minute sessions.

How counselling works

Face‑to‑face counselling

Meeting in person gives you dedicated time away from everyday distractions to focus on yourself and what has brought you to counselling.

Some people find it easier to talk when they are in the same room, away from screens and the demands of home or work.

Coming to a session can also create a clear boundary in your week: time that is set aside just for counselling.

What I can support you with

People come to counselling with many different experiences and concerns.

I work with people experiencing difficulties including:

Explore how I work
  • Anxiety & stress
  • Depression & low mood
  • Trauma & difficult past experiences
  • Bereavement, grief & loss
  • Low self-esteem & confidence
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Anger
  • Life transitions
  • Work-related difficulties
  • Identity
  • Intrusive thoughts
  • Personal growth

What sessions are like

My approach is integrative, drawing on Person-Centred, Humanistic, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Interpersonal and Internal Family Systems approaches as appropriate for you.

Each session lasts 50 minutes. It's time to talk about what's happening for you, make sense of patterns and consider the thoughts, feelings and experiences that may be affecting you.

You don't need to prepare what you're going to say beforehand.

Walk and talk therapy in Bournemouth

For people who would prefer counselling outside a traditional counselling room, I also offer walk and talk therapy in Bournemouth.

Sessions combine counselling with walking outdoors and provide another way of meeting face-to-face.

If you're interested in walk and talk therapy, we can discuss whether this way of working would be suitable for you.
